UK Blog Awards 2015 | Get Ready With Us and Smashbox

Smashbox is one of our favourite beauty brands of all time. We like light make-up, with good coverage and one stand out feature- Smashbox always answers our calling. Using Smashbox we have found that our previously temperamental skin doesn't break out, not does it need reapplying. The perfect mix of modern style with old Hollywood glamour, it is fair to say that the brand sums up our style, so we were delighted to use Smashbox products to make ourselves over ahead of the UK Blog Awards 2015.
Lauren's highlights: Smashbox Brow Tech To Go in Brunette, Smashbox Double Exposure Palette, Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara in Jet Black, Smashbox Be Legendary Long Wear Lip Lacquer in Currant, Smashbox 24 Hour CC Spot Concealer in Fair/Light

Great smoky eyes and a strong lip were really important to finish my look for the UK Blog Awards. Brow Tech To Go, a waxy, easy-to-use pencil brought my usually fair brows into a feature to frame the rest of the look.

The Double Exposure palette with 14 colours, and 28 options (wet or dry) made a great purple based smoky eye, using 3 of the colours to blend into a defined, classic evening look, all finished with the long-lasting, lifting and non-flaky Full Exposure mascara, which applied like a dream and didn't run or shift (even with our winning tears!)
The 24 Hour CC Spot Concealer hit the spot (ha!) perfectly when covering any blemishes to ensure that my eyes were full focus. All of this finished off with a bold colour topped with the Currant shade of Be Legendary Long Wear Lip Lacquer which lasted through lots of cheek kisses!
Felicity's highlights: Smashbox Step-By-Step Contour Trio, Smashbox Photo Filter Foundation Powder in no3, Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water, Smashbox Halo Long Wear Blush in Passion,

I always want to achieve that 'glowing skin' thing, so I used the Photo Finish Primer Water to provide a smooth, hydrated base. I'm suffering with dry skin, but the Primer Water injects moisture and plumpness to dry patches to make the application of cosmetic products easier.
The ideal base was Photo Finish Foundation Powder, a fine, easy to apply powder which gave wonderful coverage to help avoid shininess, and, most importantly lasted all night! The finishing face touches were Step-By-Step Contour Trio, a new launch from Smashbox which allowed total control ( for those who don't trust powder contours)!

These easy to blend sticks come along with an instruction booklet to help achieve contour-perfection, and I was only brave enough to go highlights and minimal contours, but they're one to practice with! Finally, the Halo Long Wear Blusher in Passion provided the perfect rosy glow which lasted all night. The colour pay off is tremendous- I loved the dark rosy shade.

We would love to thank Smashbox for helping us to get ready and stay perfectly made up for the UK Blog Awards! Smashbox UK have a marvellous Twitter account full of new launches, great content and giveaways, so drop them a follow!
