Wow has the bite in the air hit us quickly! November was suprisingly dry and mild, but December has really gripped some chilly paws around us and squeezed tight. Luckily, we took to styling up some fantastic new snuggly pieces from Boden, just in time for the cold snap.
We had both fallen in love with the Tilly coat, and luckily it came in three colour ways. Felicity was naturally drawn to the gorgeous primary colours of the cream stripe, whilst I (Lauren) picked out the classic grey and navy stripe. The coat is boxy and cool without being overly androgynous, and its lovely lapel design makes it smart for work and play. It's really warm and snuggly too, and is the perfect length to wear with jeans or a skirt and tights.
We teamed our Tilly coats with new Boden jeans. Having been real fans of the fit of Boden denim in the past, we fell instantly in love with our new mid rise pairs. Felicity chose ankle grazers with zip details whilst I opted for a pair of classic mid rise skinnies. I was delighted with how comfy they were, and also how nicely they sat on my waist (always in fear of super high waist or - worse- those which enforce le muffin top...). The final additions to our winter coat looks were two snuggly jumpers and classic black boots. Felicity's embellished jumper is both the perfect warm party piece, and an amazing one to jazz up a day outfit, and my classic cowl neck was so comfy- ideal for lounging around and perfect with jeans.
