Burt's Bees really makes us buzz, and the newest products to our collections, body wash and eye creams, certainly didn't disappoint. The body washes were fresh and fruity, and left us feeling SUPER clean. The Citrus and Ginger Root was uber fresh and has a real zing to it, whilst the Fabulously Fresh Peppermint and Rosemary left a gorgeous scent. Both were really delicate on dry or sensitive skin areas and lasted a really long time.
After realising that we were hurtling towards our mid 20's (eek), we thought we had better start investing some time and care into our eyes, luckily Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Eye Cream was on hand to help Felicity's dry skin, and Sensitive Eye Cream was there to provide gentle care to my peepers. Applied in 3-5 small dots under the eye and blended gently with your index finger, this is an essential step added to our skincare routine that won't have us looking back! We have already noticed the difference- less puffiness and more bright skin around our eyes.
Any regulars will know that I am huge brand fan of Marc Jacobs. I'm desperate for the makeup to land on British shores so that I can splurge every spare penny that I have on a full collection, but, to tide me over in the meantime, my colleague Kat picked me up 2 shades of Le Marc Lip Creme on a recent trips to the US. Je T'aime and Boy Gorgeous were the two picks and I was delighted with the colour pay off- rich, deep and extremely long lasting. Boy Gorgeous is probably my favourite- a stunning currant berry shade. I can't wait to try out other items in the range- even if it means a trip to NYC!
Superdrug is such a great health and beauty staple shop, and so their press day was a great chance to see a huge array of their brands and own name products. Highlights were the Lottie London nail varnishes and brushes (brushes in pastel shades...hello!), B. Beauty Micellar Water (my favourite 2015 find!) and a really interesting DNA profiling kit called 23 and Me- more on that soon- we are trying it out!
What we love most about Superdrug, is that the in store brands and super duper in quality, and they proved this with the swap shop at the event- asking us to complete a questionnaire about current products that we use and offering to exchange them for the Superdrug version- we can't wait to try out new bits!
You will have seen a mention on here and Instagrams-a-plenty about our drop in at the new Ted Baker beauty launch. Two colours influence the new Touch of Luxury collection- Mint and Pink. Our favourites include the Pink Whipped Body Souffle, a rich formula which left our skin feeling silky smooth and utterly pampered, we also love the Mint Body Wash which was super refreshing and the bubble pay off was unreal- double point for lathering!
Both scents are very wearable- not over powering, but perfect for summer, and super luxurious. We also love packaging that we are proud to display on our bathroom sides, and this one doesn't disappoint- lovely square, pastel designs which stand out and introduce rose gold writing (YES!!) to our home-spas! Ted Baker Beauty is available from Boots.
We were really excited to have received a preview of the new launching Nail Apothecary range by Elegant Touch. Love the look of these Estee Lauder lipsticks. I have recently tried a bright red Chanel lip gloss so am feeling quite adventurous in my old age. Lorraine x
