June Beauty Essentials

I'm suffering from terrible break outs at the moment, so whilst I figure it out with the help of some specialists, I'm trying to go little and often on the full face of make up, and not experimenting quite so much with facial products. That said, I have found some lovely products this month so grab a cup of tea and let's get stuck in...
At the Superdrug press day we spotted the stunning Lottie London make up brushes, and like a bee to the flower, we were drawn to the pastel shades. If the pastel shades isn't enough, the fact that you can get the Best of Brushes collection including a powder, foundation, angled and shadow brushes for just £19.99 is pretty fabulous. No moulting in the bristles, soft to your skin and easy to wash- these are our new favourite brushes! We also love the tops of the bristles matching the colours of the handles!

We also took part in the Superdrug Summer Swap shop where we left their event filling in a questionnaire about current products that we use and the they were offering to exchange them for the Superdrug version. Between us we saved over £90 and we are delighted with the alternatives. A couple of my favourites will also appear in July, but I have been loving the Solait factor 30 suncream and the Vitamin E body butter as replacements of other branded goods that I'd usually turn to. The suncream was effective all day at a festival and because it has moisturising qualities, I knew it wasn't going to dry my skin out!

The body butter was pure luxury, soft and smooth, lovely scent without being greasy! The Solait is currently £3.95 (half price at the moment!) which is huge saving to my normal buy which retails at over £15! We are always looking for bargains and so were really shocked at the savings we could make without compromising on the quality of the products.
I have a huge problem with my small eyes. I know that is a peculiar complaint but it's something that I have really noticed. My cousin Emma introduced me to Younique and their Moodstruck 3D Fibre lashes. This clever little product set comes in a nifty travel case (so will be perfect for glamming up when I am away on my cruise) and it utterly transformed my lashes. They were fuller, thicker and, when used with curlers, gave me a fabulous rounded open eyed look- totally solving my little-eye problems!

Made with special ingredients including collagen to give bounce and elasticity to the lash and beeswax- a natural product which helps to care for your lashes.
To use, you apply a good coat of the Transplanting Gel (larger wand), followed by a swish of the 3D Fibre wand, which attaches the fibres to your lashes, giving such a full yet natural look. I highly recommend this product, it's so unique and there isn't much out there on the market for this type of effect (full yet not FAKE looking).

Younique also have a huge array of lip stains in gorgeous shades and (attracted to anything Rose), the Refreshed Pure & Natural Rose Water also sounds like a treat worth trying!
Last month I headed to the Liz Earle Chelsea Flower show activation, and was lucky enough to finally get hold of the highly coveted Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. I'm not quite sure why I hadn't tried it before, but I get through cleansers like there is no tomorrow, and so I love trying new ones! This lovely trio features three limited edition scents in a collectors tin to celebrate 20 Years of Liz Earle, and its easy to understand why she is one of the most successful skincare entrepreneurs. High quality, beautifully scented products and stores with a fabulous aesthetic, what's not to like! These cleansers left my skin feeling hugely refreshed and they are really long lasting with a little going a long way to remove even the most stubborn of eyebrow pencils! Snap up your Cleanse and Polish Beauty collectors tin featuring 3 full size fragrances along with 2 muslin cloths for £50 before they sell out!

As always please do drop your recommendations below...Until July....
