Specs and the 70s

superdrug glasses 70s trend tortoiseshell
Gone are the days where glasses weren't fashionable, where they were worn by academic folk and could only be obtained following and optical appointment. Specs are everywhere and have been worn on catwalks across the globe for names including Gucci and DVF as well as being commonplace at red carpet premieres worldwide.

To celebrate the launch of their new optician service, Superdrug gave us a pair each and, of course, we spent ages picking our favourite shade and shape. Superdrug's fantastic new service means that you can obtain a pair of specs for as little as £9, and get them delivered to your door. With an array of fashionable and trendy styles on offer, you simple need to pick your favourite, enter your prescription and order them- amazing!

I (Lauren) eventually opted for Cobalt Tortoiseshell in a round thin frame style, Felicity chose a mustard yellow thicker frame style- both of which are perfect for our current favourite AW15 trend, the 70s.

Felicity styled hers with a stunning teal Wolf and Whistle blouse from StylistPick.co.uk, which marries any 70s pieces together perfectly. The shade is perfect for autumn and matches the new specs perfectly. I opted for brown tones throughout, with a tan suede the Primark skirt (£6 so get one before they go!) and these beautifully comfortable burgundy lace up ankle boots from Clarks.
