Copenhagen | What We Bought

SHOP

Danish design ruled our trip. There were plenty of shops which caught our eye in the capital, however, three of them are definitely worth a visit if you are there.

Søstrene Grene

Hands down our favourite store, ever. Think Tiger but much more kitsch, neutrals and pastels, cool quotes, insanely cheap prices and great quality. Søstrene Grene can be found on several street corners, and we visited a few- not sorry at all, if we lived in Copenhagen we would have our entire homes decked out in their simple, easy going designs.

We stocked up on suitably sweet hen party goodies, wedding decorations, stationery and crockery. Find out more on their website- rumour has it there will be one opening in Nottingham soon- we can't wait!

Molly Marais

AKA rose gold and blush pink heaven. Molly Marais is the most photogenic store in Copenhagen and sells gorgeous crockery, light letters, makeup bags and beautiful interior decorations. Molly Marais is near the centre of town, and has two floors of incredible inspiration for home design. It's beautiful British with a twist of Danish simplicity- perhaps why we were so drawn to it...

Sadly everything we wanted was too big/fragile to carry home but the best news is... international shipping comes soon on the website.

FN92

This was a total stumble upon, in the vintage part of town. A store with vintage dresses poking out of the tiny window turned out to be a vintage store specialising in wedding dresses.

With stunning pieces dating back to the 1920's, we only saw a glimpse of the range- wedding dresses are appointment only, but the pieces we did see were beautiful. They also have a stunning range of vintage gloves, headwear and belts. They also have vintage dresses, jewellery and headpieces- all truly unique and original.

In this shop, we met the most incredible lady who was manning the shop for her friend, the owner. She had one of the most colourful personalities ever, and such a spice for life! Her full time job was as a female priest, and we chatted to her for over an hour on UK youth culture, and the perception of the church, views on marriage and faith - one of the most enjoyable conversations we've had with a stranger in a very long time!

As far as the shop is concerned, it was an absolute find. The wedding dresses are appointment only, however, the gowns are all online too, so have a peek on their website.
