It's no secret that our favourite shoe brand has to be Clarks. Their quality and comfort paired with a refresh for design has brought fabulous new designs to the streets.
We headed to The Vinyl Factory just off Carnaby Street to check out the AW14 offerings from Clarks. Honestly? It's their best collection yet. Here's what they had to say:
"This season’s women’s collection seamlessly blends style and substance, with inspiration coming not only from the brand’s unique heritage but also from the catwalks and latest trends on the street. From smart to casual, shoes to boots, authenticity is given an unexpected twist with influences from the Clarks archives and iconic classics reinterpreted into contemporary styles."
First off, great Autumnal theme decoration-wise! As for the collection; the classic and smart styles featured stunning leather fringing, great pony hair-leather-patent combos as well as incredible new oxblood and bottle green shades.

As huge fans of her first SS collection for Clarks, we were uber excited to see what Orla Kiely would be delivering for AW14. The result? Gorgeous Mary Janes and T bars combined with fabulous pony hair and patent texturing with the classic chunky heels. We loved the seamless collaboration and how well it fit with the Clarks own offerings - we were also told by the lovely Clarks ladies that Orla would do one more season for Spring/Summer.Yay!
Incredible textures and details were the focus of the AW collection, featuring partnerships with Linton Tweed, colour blocking and stunning fringing. We also loved the contrast stitching spied on a number of pairs throughout the collection...
Felicity adored this two tone clutch and bottle green loafers, whilst Lauren coveted the two textured bag and gorgeous flat t-bars shoes - great for great everyday wear!
Mini apple crumbles with custard? Yes please! We happily nommed on these, mini scotch eggs and cute scones with jam whilst yearning over the gorgeous stud, tweed and pony hair shoes in the edgier end of the Clarks AW14 range.
Boots boots! We love the different styles of heel (and leathers; two kinds - soft and buttery or takes a battering) of the new collection. The quilting, stud and cut out details are proof of a really edgy divergence for Clarks, and we love it! The rockier collection also features some fabulous bags too!
We couldn't leave without picking out our favourite pairs! Lauren opted for some gorgeous black pony hair and fringed heeled loafers, some adorable dolly style shoes in a deep navy colour, fabulous quilted boots in the mandatory black for Lauren, and cutesy navy and green Mary Janes from the AW Orla collection.
Felicity's picks included the same pony hair and fringed loafers but in a stunning Oxblood hue, bottle green loafers for great everyday wear, beautiful pony hair and leather t bars in oxblood and pink from the Orla collection and two tres cool cut out detail boots- perfect for blogger parties!
Uhm, how cute is the tiny baby Tweet boot?! We couldn't resist a snap! We also loved the Men's collection- each picking out a pair of brogues with fabulous detailing for our respective boyfriends! We heart blue and brown this AW and will definitely be taking our fellas down to the store!
As huge fangirls of Clarks, we couldn't resist showing off our favourite SS14 styles at the press day with Felicity sporting the sexy and sharp looking Azizi Immy heels with gorgeous tweed and polka dot textures. Lauren donned her Orla Marianne shoes with a sleeved denim dress for the ultimate 70's look.
We think you'll absolutely adore this collection once it hits stores in July - you'll have to wait until 5th September for the Orla Kiely collection *sob* but we promise it's worth the wait!
Thanks so much to Clarks and the ladies at Portas.
