Ethical fashion is one of our favourite things to talk about. It's easy to be drawn into mass produced items, and we'd be lying if we told you that we didn't buy into these and weren't fans of some of our high street favourites. However, what we are always keen to hear more about and feature on our little slice of the internet is how we can be more ethical in our choices and support a good cause in the process.
When SUJUU reached out to us and told us about their project, we were utterly enchanted by the initiative and the finished results.
Founder of the company, Faye, designs scarves that are a combination of silk with hand-fused felt, which are then ethically made in Kyrgyzstan by their cooperative of women artisans. You can find the scarf collection here, and we think that they are beautifully colourful and the story behind them is just wonderful!
SUJUU also has a jewellery collection, which is handmade by women in a small village in South Africa, who would otherwise have little opportunity of employment. SUJUU give the women the skills and equipment to be silversmiths, and it is from there that Faye's designs, inspired by her niece Lily are created.
We were utterly honoured to be asked to wear a piece each on our blog and are delighted to bring the story of SUJUU to you. The craftsmanship and quality of the pieces is something special and to be admired, and we really hope that our shoot brings this to life for you all!

Hearing the SUJUU story has really made us think a little harder about where our favourite pieces come from, and has shone a light on the talent which is, at times, over looked in favour of larger commercial brands. Thank you so much to SUJUU for inviting us to tell your story and readers, go have a peek, we promise you wont be disappointed!
