And just like that, it was September. The leaves had just started to turn from green to golden, the summer nights that had stretched languidly between toasting marshmallows and smoke curling from the last smouldering charcoals grew shorter; somewhere between late night laughter and the first twinkling of stars in a cornflower sky (hey, I'm getting poetic on you! It must be back to school vibe in the air...).
It's common knowledge that Autumn is the cliche blogger favourite, but as I write this - staring into sheets of rain outside - hanging on to any glimpse of summer seems natural, if a little futile...
Ok so KNITWEAR. We are big fans. If you're reading this in the UK you may as well skip ahead, but if you're reading from anywhere else then you need to know that it is no exaggeration that England is wet. It rains all the time, all year round, so jumpers are an absolute 365 day a year essential. They're ideal spring, autumn and winter, and just cosy to throw on for the cooler nights in summer.
The new knitwear range from Boden is so versatile - Lauren went for a grey knit dress (ideal for the office) with statement origami bow detail to the neck, whereas I (Felicity), never knowingly passing up anything colour block, couldn't resist the pink and red cashmere jumper. Cosy and cool? Sign. Me. Up.
We're bringing you a few new style posts before we - well I - go off radar for wedding planning. Just 12 weeks to go until the big day and so much to do, I hardly know where to begin. Well, I guess I'll just wait till the next available wedding Wednesday...
Anyway before I digress completely, anyone got any plans for the last few breaths of summer before autumn really takes hold?
Love both your outfits :) xx
