V Festival Countdown | 13 Days to Go! Festival Fashion Weather Woes

After watching the torrential downpours and glorious mud at Glasto, we want to be sure that when we're checking into V festival we aren't deterred by the Great British Weather! We've planned four weatherproof choices perfect for your festival backpack...

Wind
Be grateful that it isn't raining, but wind can seriously mess up your festival hair and sweep a chill across your perfectly planned August festival outfit! Your festival hair style will stay put with a beautiful hat like this one from ASOS...
ASOS Braid Straw Fedora Hat, £18

We think it's the perfect festival take on a winter staple, the fedora. If you aren't a hat kind of girl, then scarves are huge this summer so grab one to fix your hair in place and keep it out of your face - we love Eleanor J Shore, but if you're on a smaller budget then try this:
Accessorize Charlotte Bando, £7
It's pre-tied to save you any fiddly re-tying whilst you party!

Rain
Rain is the most dreaded of all festival weather situations, and wellies and a good rain mac are a 100% must. But don't let this rain on your fashion parade; just plan ahead so you can party on in style. ASOS have the most incredible collection of rain macs, we love...
ASOS Cocoon Rain Mac with Blue Sport Stripes, £40
It's perfect for channeling the sports luxe trend, whilst the transparent material still highlights your carefully planned festival outfit - hurrah!

For fabulous wellies to dance around in the mud in, we love Joules. The Joules Posh Welly is down to £29.95 and they're the perfect investment to brighten up any rainy day! Why not channel the stylish lady below and add knee socks?

For those who aren't in for a full leg welly, the Chelsea Welly Boot is the perfect style to keep your feet dry.

New Look Coral and Black Chelsea Welly, £15.99 add the ideal colour pop to your festival outfit. Don't forget to wear your wellies on your way to the festival- you're gonna need that coveted backpack space!

Sun
Hurrah, glorious sunshine! If you're rocking out in the heat, make sure you have some bang on trend sunnies to wear. We think this Boohoo pair is pretty awesome...

Boohoo Jasmine Oversized Hexagonal Sunglasses, £6
Alternatively, invest in a plain pair and get customising with flowers, pearls, sequins and glitter to ensure that your eyes have their signature look on the field! Meanwhile, ensure your feet look their best in some shimmery summer sandals.

We love the flatform sandals from Clarks, their Romantic Moon collection (£49.99) comes in an array of colours!

Chilly
No one does a chilly British festival look better than Topshop, and we love their Kate Moss Embroidered Smock Dress (which is now down to £45) for keeping your arms covered and the chills away!

For a great cover-up, try H&M. We loved Alexa Chung and Stella McCartney for rocking a tailored blazer - this faux leather panelled style gets the thumbs up from us!
H&M Jersey Jacket, £29.99
Whatever the weather, festivals are made for fun. We reckon as long as you co-ordinate your outfits around a few weatherproof basics (e.g. a leather jacket or a good pair of black boots) you'll be set whatever the sky throws down.
