Lifestyle | Coming Home

So I'm home and by the time you read this, I will have started that dream job already. I can finally tell you what it is - I'm going to be Online & Social Content Editor for Joules, a brand I've loved for years and been desperate to work for since I was around... ooh... 15?

I'll be managing the company blog, which I really couldn't be any more excited about. It's amazing where blogging can take you, and to do it for your 9-5? For me, it doesn't get any better than that. I have so many ideas, but I'm trying to keep them all back for now so I can align everything with the overall vision. Very, very exciting.

Before I launch in, I did some fab things in London before coming home - I went on the Paddington Trail with my Dad, which was so much fun. I made up the route myself (with clues for the streets our chosen Paddingtons were on), had fish 'n' chips and had a small trip to Louis Vuitton (no he didn't buy me anything, big sad face).

A couple of days later I went to see Made in Dagenham (which was amazing) with my Mum, Auntie, Nan and Sister-in-law-to-be. Gemma Arterton, who is my ultimate girl crush, was absolutely brilliant. Oh and to top it off, I had a lovely Christmas send off dinner at Rabot 1745 with Lauren (you can read about it here).

So, I came home on Christmas Eve. As the saying goes, I had every intention of settling in for a long winters nap. This did not happen! It's been a really busy time for my family, and I've spent a huge chunk going through the sheer amount of stuff I have (which is truly colossal, especially if we're talking clothes). I'm going to be listing a huge amount of clothes/beauty on eBay and Depop just to make space for shiny happy new things proper wardrobe coordination. I love a good sort out/declutter/cull, so I can't really complain...

It's been great spending time with my family, who have dutifully helped me get a bit more driving experience under my belt (I've been driving since 2011, but commuting by train isn't really conducive to a lower insurance premium. Sob).

I hope you've all had a relaxing Christmas and a sparkly New Year - now for the onslaught of good intentions. I start Monday. Maybe.
