Our Get Living London Haul Vlog

So not both being in the same work area means that the time we spend together has to be a) super productive and b) even more fun, so when we were invited along to see what Get Living London with their beautiful East Village complex had to offer for people moving to the Stratford area, we jumped at the chance. We should also mention that not seeing each other much also = sleepovers. Exhibit A.

I (Lauren) live in Stratford, and I always rave about how great it is being a mere stones throw away from Westfield Stratford City so I couldn't wait to show Flic around.

The day comprised of a breakfast with a view in the East Village, a £100 Westfield shopping challenge, pizza lunch and then creation of a haul video with the help of the lovely professional videographers. Challenge accepted. 

We kicked off by walking through the East Village to the apartment where we would be filming, the area has a super cool and trendy feel to it, with beautiful new apartments all around. It feels like a hugely up and coming urban neighborhood and us country girls could definitely see ourselves turning metropolitan and taking plenty of style pictures around the various parks within the Village. There are green areas, ponds and plenty of trees all clubbed (there's even a pub!), a Sainsbury's Local and a school. All of this paired with Stratford International on the very outskirts, and Westfield on the edge too - it makes the formula for perfect village-style London living. 

A lovely breakfast waited for us! Pain au chocolat (yes please) croissants, fruit and tea with views across the Olympic Stadium (also a 7 minute walk away!) and the London horizon... well, talk about a view. We felt blessed to be standing on the stunning balcony sipping Earl Grey and taking it all in! We shared our day with two wonderful bloggers - Kat from Lady Loves Cake and Annie from Style Juicer - both such lovely ladies who we had such fun working with! 

We then filmed short introductions for our vlogs- which we were really nervous about as we were total video newbies! Talking about our blog comes really naturally to us, and it was great to get to explain it to camera and we actually really enjoyed the filming part.

Intros filmed, we then set off on a shopping challenge- an hour and a half and £100 to spend in Westfield to show off the great shops within the centre. We picked up some great bargains, and both agreed the huge stores including some of our faves- H&M, Primark and Forever21 were huge and had lots to offer! You can see our hauls in the fabulous video created below, which we had a right giggle making!

We had delicious Franco Manca for lunch- top notch sourdough pizza which went down perfectly with a glass of fizz before shooting our final video and a style post (more on that later!) on the beautiful balcony!
