Press Days

Debenhams AW15
We always enjoy the Debenhams press day - it's always jam packed with some great new season pieces, catwalk inspired separates and sparkling occasion wear.

We joined the hordes of others in admiring the printed trousers by Ben de Lisi, with a few personal favourites from us (Lauren loved the green dress with fur stole, I loved the nude and red lace tapework dress).

Particular favourite for me? This 'could be designer' bag - a perfect trans-seasonal piece.

Home-wise, we particularly loved the flamingo lamp, the 'yeah yeah' cushion and the gorgeous tea sets. Plenty coming in for Autumn!

Shopa Blogger Dinner
shop launch rosewood hotel
I (Lauren) flew solo at the Shopa Blogger dinner on Tuesday rubbing shoulders with top bloggers including Prince Cassius and Fashion Slave.

pretty posh oh my gosh
Shopa are currently mid-launch in the UK and will be making a bigger splash later in the year. The aim of their brand is to create a space where people can shop through the biggest digital frontier of the 21st century- Social. Stay Tuned for more later in the year- the purpose of this dinner was to connect with us- which really impressed us- no ramming down the throat of key messages and no pressure to produce content from it. Just a lovely, social gathering to connect and get to know one another better.

3 courses of delicious food were served and the conversation flowed as perfectly as the wine. The evening was hosted by Oliver Proudlock, who was very down to earth and sat right across from me which was a great experience!

Hosted in the Living Room at the Rosewood Hotel, it was a little nerve wracking flying solo at such an intense event- popping into a press day solo is one thing, but sitting down for dinner when you are used to being a pair pretty much felt like my ability to talk had disappeared! However, the lovely Rebecca, Kate, Gemma and Pete from Shopa were all in close proximity and very friendly. I also bumped into the adorable Love, (who also has a stunning blog) and who we've worked closely with for Monsoon and Accessorize- so I was delighted to speak to some lovely people which settled my qualms!
rosewood hotel
The Rosewood was pure elegance- 100% my kinda hotel- Gatsby Glam with marble, black and gold fixtures and luxury finishing touches! I'm definitely dragging Flic there for cocktails next time she is in town (not that she will need much persuading!) Thanks for inviting us Shopa!

Health & Fitness
Felicity
A couple of dog walks for me... I'm afraid I'm off it temporarily. One of my dogs died very suddenly this week and he was only 7, so I'm not really thinking about fitness. I tend to eat less when I'm stressed or down and lose my appetite, so I don't have so much energy...

I'm leaving to go on my parents canal boat for a week tomorrow, so I'll look after myself a day at a time. Happier next week, promise.

Lauren
I've REALLY stepped it up this week, and am left feeling super proud. I'm training for a 10K run to raise money for a charity which looks after people with my cousin's condition, and it is a big drive to get out and train so that I don't let him down. I'll be running with my brothers, sister and our partners. You can find out more and sponsor us here (cheeky plug). I've teamed daily 6am runs/workouts with a Rosemary Conley diet plan (for the most part...) to help me shift a little extra timber in the process.

See you next week!
